Jack Arentz aka Haxx (Hii Spirits, Kult Kyss) is a prolific songwriter, producer and mix engineer.

Recent years have seen Jack collaborating with artists such as Golden Features and The Presets, while lending his services as a songwriter, mix engineer and producer to acts such as Pnau, Mild Minds, Djanaba and I Know Leopard.

With new electronic project Hii Spirits clocking 1 million streams in less than two months, Jack's studio credits also include releases for Ivy League, Warner, Sony, Counter Records, Remote Control, Sweat It Out, TMRW Music, Selected, Etcetc and more.

His work has received rotation across triple j, Double j and triple j Unearthed, been shortlisted twice as a finalist in the Vanda and Young songwriting competition, and nominated for an AIR award.

In 2023 Jack’s mixing work reached new heights, with his euphonic mix of Djanaba’s ‘F.U’ becoming the most played track on triple j for sequential weeks.

No stranger to the stage, recent years have seen Jack perform live with Kult Kyss supporting the Presets, showcasing at BIGSOUND, performing on ABC TV’s show ‘The Set’, as well as EMC Live and Sidney Myer Music Bowl. He has also performed at festivals such as Listen Out, Beyond The Valley, Paradise, NYE on the Hill, Gaytimes and Meadow.

Jack's work also extends to film and TV, with his recent creation of the original theme music and motifs for ABC TV's show 'Art Works'.
